The Flightradar24 app (which you can download from Veteris) actually still kind of works, although it sometimes crashes. The main hurdle is that when you click the agree button ofs the license agreement, it does nothing. And without that, you can't use the app.
The explaination is simple: The license agreement is a webview that is pulled from Flightradar24's server. That webview unfortunately uses features that iOS 8 doesn't support. Luckily, this webview isn't hardcoded, but as mentioned earlier pulled from fr24's server. This means that we can use a proxy to manipulate the webview into working on iOS 8.
To do this, you need a pc (any OS) that is on the same network as your iPad. Then, follow these steps:
Download mitmproxy on your pc
Download the fix.py file
In a terminal, navigate to the folder that the fix.py file resides in, then run the command mitmweb -s fix.py
On your iPad, tap the i symbol on the wifi you're connected to and scroll down to HTTP PROXY. Set the server to your pc's ip adress and the port to 8080.
In Safari, open the website mitm.it, scroll down to iOS and install the certificate.
Close the Flightradar24 app if you had it open, then open it up again and you should be able to agree to the license.
You'll only have to do this whenever Flightradar24 changes its licenses, so you should be good for a while
If you've done everything correctly, you should be able to use Flightradar24 onyour iPad :)
